Terms of service

The terms and conditions for using GoToMyPU. Last updated: 12 September 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the GoToMyPU platform at gotomypu.ng ("the Service") operated by EiE Nigeria ("we", "us", "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

GoToMyPU is a public election information platform that allows Nigerian citizens to:

  • Find polling units by INEC code or location (State → LGA → Ward)
  • View polling unit details and Google Maps directions
  • View candidates contesting at their polling unit
  • Read candidate biographies, manifestos, and party information

3. Source of Data

Polling unit data is sourced from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Candidate data is provided by EiE Nigeria and verified through public sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of candidate data — voters should verify information through official INEC channels.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to admin areas
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute candidate data without permission
  • Use automated tools to overload the Service (DDoS, bots)
  • Misrepresent candidate information

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by EiE Nigeria. Candidate photographs and manifestos are published with the candidate's consent. INEC polling unit data is public information.

6. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • That polling unit locations are accurate or up-to-date
  • That candidate information is complete or current
  • That the Service will be available at all times

7. Limitation of Liability

EiE Nigeria shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service (which is free).

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
